Newly arrived government assisted refugees are temporarily housed at Welcome Place Residence (521 Bannatyne Ave), in self-contained and furnished apartments with access to on-site life skills and settlement support.
Refugee claimants may also be housed in a temporary residence if space is available. Refugee claimants should contact (telephone or e-mail) the residence manager at least one week prior to arrival to determine the availability of accommodation. If temporary accommodation is not available at Welcome Place the refugee claimants will have to be responsible for finding their own accommodation.
