  • The form is now LIVE until May 21, 2024, at 4pm CST. (APPLY NOW)

SPONSORING BVOR REFUGEES

Are you interested in helping refugees start a new life?

Partner with us to sponsor refugee(s) in urgent need for resettlement to Canada!

As a sponsor you will provide financial support as well as emotional, social, and other supports to break the isolation of settling into a new country.

The Canadian government provides up to six (6) months of financial support through the Resettlement Assistance Program (RAP) while you as a sponsor would provide the remaining six (6) months of support.

Blended Visa Office-Referred (BVOR) refugees are particularly vulnerable because they often are or identify as:

  • Women and girls at risk
  • LGBTQI or victims of diverse Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Expression (SOGIE) persecution
  • Survivors of violence and torture

BVOR newcomers lack an alternative lasting solution; they cannot return home, they cannot stay where they currently reside, and their only option is to be resettled.

Why sponsor through BVOR program?

Sponsoring through the BVOR program:

  • Invigorates and enhances our communities, and
  • Allows Canadians to:
  • Have a direct impact on their communities, and
  • Contribute to global efforts to help refugees in need of protection

If you are interested in partnering with us, send an email to: general.psr@miic.ca.
