Temporary Accommodations

SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE DEPARTMENT INCLUDE:
- Safe, affordable (low-income) accommodations for newcomers*
- For stays up to six months
- Units come with basic furniture, linens, and cookware
- Housing fees include utilities, Wi-Fi, laundry, and local telephone calls
- Seamless access to onsite settlement services and life skills training

*Eligibility requirements for our temporary accommodations
- Newcomers with a refugee background, including:
- Refugee claimants
- Protected persons
- Resettled refugees - Government Assisted Refugees (GARs) and Blended Visa Office Referred (BVORs) are considered on a case-by-case basis depending on vulnerability and availability of units.
